The Czech-born pianist and writer August Stradal (1860ā1930) ā a Bruckner student and Liszt discipleā was one of the more prolific transcribers of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. He produced a vast quantity of phenomenally difficult piano music, including Lisztās orchestral works, most of Brucknerās symphonies, a good deal of the Baroque (a huge amount of Bach) and much more.
